Pets can suffer from separation conflicts, for example when their owner leaves or dies, or when they are left in a kennel.
To understand this better, we can look again at animals in nature. Nature has developed an ingenious mechanism to help animals when they get lost or lose sight of the herd. When an animal is in an unfamiliar environment, such as when the familiar herd is lost, this process is controlled by the relays of the renal collecting tubules, which are located in the brain stem.
The animal then immediately begins to retain fluid. This mechanism ensures that the animal has more time to find the herd again, because it can survive longer with extra fluid. However, a urologist would not interpret this in this way and would rather make a diagnosis such as “anuria” or “oliguria” (reduced or no urine production).
When both relays of the renal collecting tubules are involved, the animal becomes disoriented and instinctively begins to walk in circles. This constellation has the biological purpose of ensuring that the animal can be found without wandering further.
It is interesting to note that many elderly people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, once admitted to a nursing home where they find themselves in an unfamiliar environment, suddenly begin to wander in circles. Unfortunately, this behavior is often misinterpreted by medical professionals. For example, the geriatrician may say: “The situation is getting worse very quickly now” or “We think it is dementia.” This shows how little we sometimes understand about the complex biological reactions in our bodies.
It is striking that even older people, who are ‘members of the pack’, can experience similar memory loss when suddenly separated from their spouse, close friend or family member.
In this age group, such symptoms are often referred to as signs of Alzheimer’s disease. The deep-rooted fear, which is often present for years, can cause the diagnosis itself to be experienced as an additional separation conflict, because one now fears losing contact with loved ones. These anxious feelings do not contribute to the well-being of the person, but there is more at stake.
When we learn to think biologically and live according to the natural coding of our brains, the possibilities for our children can become unlimited and the quality and longevity of our own lives can improve considerably.
Unfortunately, we are not taught this. The standard textbooks of controlled publishers and the protocols of insurers keep us collectively in a stranglehold. As long as this is the case, we will continue to carry water to the sea in youth and elderly care, while pharmaceutical companies profit from it.
